Hello, crafty friends! I am here with you today with a card made using the Bunny Friends Stamp Set by Gerda Steiner!
How sweet are these little bunnies? I just love then and was so excited to use them to make a friendship thank you card. But I wanted to do somthing a little different.
I wanted a softer look for this card so rather then stamping with black ink onto white paper, I used gray cardstock and a copic safe gray ink. I used the warm gray copic marker family and layered on colored pencil for more details and softer shading.
What really makes the bunnies pop off the gray cardstock is the highlighting created with a white pencil. I layered it right over the copic marker and it really makes them pop!
For the daisy, I used just a touch of light blue pencil on the petals and then filled in with a white pencil.
The sentiment is stamped in the same gray ink that I used for the bunnies.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog today! Be sure the tag Gerda Steiner on social media when you share what you have made!
So…what does a mom do on a day she nearly has entirely to herself?? She makes cards!!
This week is the release date for the new products from The Cat’s Pajamas Stamps. This card was made using the Cinco De Cactus stamp set!
I started off by stamping both the cactus images. This set in particular makes scene creating easy because there is large images and then a smaller image. Larger images are always in the foreground and the smaller images more in the background.
The desert/canyon was super easy to color. Here are a few things to keep in mind for any scene coloring-
1. Larger images close – smaller images farther away.
2. Darker, more detailed coloring on images closer. Use lighter colors and less detail for images which are farther away.
3. Add texture to the scene and images which are closer to the front of the scene. Use the dot technique for sands and the flicking technique for grasses and in this case, the hills.
4. Go with a shade darker marker then you would initially think you would use. This keeps the contrast high and really makes the images pop.
Be sure to check out The Cat’s Pajamas this week to see the rest of the release. You will love it!
Omgosh! I jumped at the chance to make something with this die! This is the Spring Tree die from The Cat’s Pajamas and I can see so many creative possibilities! Its perfect for all seasons but I kept with the spring theme and made this card!

Here is a card I made with The Year of the Pig stamps!
Colored with copic markers and the pool was made using Distress Inks.
You all know by not that I like creating scenes! You know, an entire little wold which the main character live in. It’s fun, stretches my creativity but it can take a long time to create.
Today I want to show you a way you can make a scene card in hardly any time and it will still be cute, fun to make and best of all fast!
To create this card I decided to not create a huge scene on the entire card, but to make a much smaller one! I love the way this turned out!
I used the stamp set Under the Weather for this card and creater the entire scene on a 3×4 piece of copic safe paper.
This is not a super elaborate scene but it is just as effective and works so well for this sweet little mouse!
First I stamped my image and colored him in with Copic Markers. I then masked off the top and drew in a little puddle for him to stand in. I then masked off the mouse and the bottom of the card and used Distress inks to create the background. I used the smaller little raindrop stamps to help create the scene. After adding a few extra shadows and a little sparkle, I was done! A small but just as fun scene!
I randomly stamped the drops all over the layer under my scene and I just love the way it looks! Its just the right amount of interest!
Its fun to have a few hours to ceeat and entire elaborate scene but it is not always practical! Rather the ditching the idea, just make your scene smaller! It works just as well!
And here is how I finished off the inside! With sunshine!!! That little mouse I’d just too cute! Dont ya think?
Thanks for joining me today! I cant wait to see what scenes you with this adorable stamp set!
