Clean and Simple…The Cat’s Pajamas Challenge!

So…you tell a clean and simple girl to make something ‘clean and simple’ and she can’t quite do it! Granted, this is a little more to that description then some of my cards, but this is what I came up with for the latest challenge on The Cat’s Pajamas blog.

I started with coloring my favorite bunny in the world with my Copic Markers and then fussy cutting him out. This image is from the Forget the Cake stamp set.

I then cut two rectangles using dies from my stash. I die cut one of the rectangles using the Dots die and adhered it to the other rectangle and then adhered it to my background.

I added a little fun foam behind my image for some dimension and embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder! …. kind of simple!

Be sure to join in the challenge! You will find it HERE!!! There is a great prize you could win! Check out The Cat’s Pajamas blog for more info!

Its Blog Hop Day with The Cat’s Pajamas!

Happy blog hop day! It’s time to start thinking Christmas with The Cats Pajamas!

Today I am sharing 2 cards made using just one die – the Joyeux Noel Cut Up die!

I started with a card base in a light blue. I blended on different shades of blue Distress inks using the Big Beautiful Blending Brush! This brush is amazing and blends so smoothly! It’s a must have.

I left the center of the card bases lighter and concentrated the darker near the edges. I then placed the die in the center of the card and cut it out! Then I die cut the word ‘noel’s inside the die cut banner and lifted it with some foam tape! I placed it on a white card base and my card was does!Easy as could be and I LOVE this card!

Here is an example of another rcard I made using another card base that was covered with the ink blending! I just cut it out as many times as I could and attached it to a rectangle die. I added the word ‘joy’ with foam for a little extra pop! And then some sparkle by using the beautiful sequence in this release.

Day 4 of Sneak Peeks at The Cat’s Pajamas!

How adorable is this yeti! I just think he is too cute and so unique! He is the perfect star to any Christmas card!

For this card I used the Yeti Christmas stamp set! Today is day 4 of the sneak peeks and there is plenty more inspiration to be seen on The Cat’s Pajamas blog!

To start, I used the The Great Outdoors to trace and cut out the snow drift. I also used the stencil to create the background snow by sponging on Versamark ink on to a black card base and then heat embossing with pearl embossing powder.

I also heat embossed the trees with white embossing powder. I stamped and colored this adorable yeti with my copic markers. I added a bit of gloss to the Christmas ball he is holding with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I fussy cut him out and the added him to the snow drift and then added it to my card base. I stamped the sentiment with red ink and my card was DONE!

Thanks for joining me today! Be sure to visit The Cat’s Pajamas blog for a chance to win amazing prizes each day of the sneak peeks!

It’s Christmas Time!!

…well, maybe not exactly, but it’s time to get ready for Christmas! Seriously, the best way to beat the heat, other then ice cream and central air, is to start thinking about the winter season. The Cat’s Pajamas is right on time with the release for July!

This card was made using the Sketchy Santas and the Blizzard Stencil stencil.

I started by using glitter paste over top the stencil in an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base. While that was dryng, I stamped the trees from the xxx stamp set and drew a snow drift along the bottom of the trees. I fussy cut them out along with a snow drift and then stamped the sentiment.

I then stamped, colored and then fussy cut out this adorable Santa and attached to to the snow drift!

I then added the snow drift to the card base and my card was finished!!!

It’s Chtistmas in July!

…and I LOVE it! I am not a higs fan of summer. I would rather bundle up them sweat! The heat is not for me!

I was thrilled to see the challenge on the The Cat’s Pajamas Stamps blog is Christmas in July!

First, I started by inking up a light blue card base with Distress inks. I left the center of the card lighter to help highlight my snowman!

I wanted to use supplies in different ways for this card. For the snowman, I used the circle die from the Going Round and Round Dies which are actually made to be used for an interactive card, but made the perfect sized snowman for an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. I hand cut the carrot nose and hand drew the face – super easy!

I then stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment using the Scripted Sentiments stamp set. I used the smallest stamp, which was intended to be the center of a flower in the Folk Art Flowers stamp set for the snow!

This was a great way for me to use the products I already own in a new and different way!

Be sure to join in with us on this challenge! It’s so fun to think snow when the temps are in the 90’s! And you could win an amazing prize to help you get started on you 2019 Christmas cards! Check out The Cat’s Pajamas Blog for all the details!

The Cat’s Pajamas Challenge #358!

I love looking at my stamp sets and finding one small stamp to use to create beautiful backgrounds.

The theme at The Cat’s Pajamas TCP Tuesday challenge is to create a summer card.

When I think about summer, I think about flowers! Lots and lots of pretty flowers. That was the inspiration for these cards!

I use the Folk Art Flowers to create a a series of cards….and only using ink and a little sparkle!

All I did for all three of these card is stamp the same flower a bunch of times! It was that easy! Cover the entire cars with random foweres. I used a darker ink and a lighter ink and I love the way it turned out!

I added a littl sequence from The Cat’s Pajamas and the flowers were done!

I think this last card would be a great wedding card.

Funny how the same supplies can look so different.

Please be sure to check out the the team’s cards, too! You will find a lot of inspiration on the card blog and how you could win an amazing prize from The Cat’s Pajamas!

Thanks for being with me for few minutes today! See ya on social!
